Open Heavens 19 April 2026 Sunday – Reversing Failure

1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 19 April 2026 Sunday Daily Devotional
In today’s Bible reading, Peter had fished all night and caught nothing. Even though he toiled throughout the night, he had nothing to show for his efforts. However, God turned his failure into an instant success by arranging a divine encounter for him. After hosting Jesus in his boat, he caught so many fishes that his net broke. As he couldn’t handle the size of his catch alone, he had to beckon to other fishermen to help him. Instantly, his failure was reversed, and he experienced a great turnaround.
When my mother was alive, I used to travel to llesha, which was very close to my hometown in western Nigeria, to visit her every two weeks. On one such visit, I was about to eat when a man was brought inside the house. At first glance, I thought he was a madman, based on his appearance. However, I learnt that he was a highly educated man who used to be very wealthy before the enemy attacked him in a very strange way. He hada problem that no doctor on earth could handle. He told me that insects of all kinds usually come out of his body at regular intervals, and he had spent everything he had seeking a solution to this spiritual attack. He had also sold all his clothes and had resorted to wearing rags.
Thankfully, God had mercy on him and arranged a divine encounter for him. When he told me his story, I asked him, “Will you give your life to Jesus Christ?” I explained to him that his battle was one that only God could help him win. He gave his life to Jesus Christ, and we prayed a simple prayer before he left.
Two weeks after that incident, I went back to Ilesha to visit my mother as usual. Again, as I sat down to eat, a handsome, well-dressed man walked into the room. As he saw that I could not recognize him, he said, “It seems you don’t recognize me.” I replied, “l don’t think we have ever met.” He then responded, “I was the one you prayed for two weeks ago. Look at what God has done in my life in just two weeks!”
Beloved, I pray that any cycle of failure in your life will be reversed for good, and you will begin to enjoy cycles of blessings and miracles, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points for Open Heavens 19 April 2026 – REVERSING FAILURE
1. Father, I thank You for turning mourning into dancing and failure into success. Thank You for the testimony of Peter, who toiled all night and caught nothing but at Your word received abundance, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, I ask for mercy for every time I have allowed past failures, disappointments, and fruitless efforts to discourage me from trusting Your word and obeying Your instructions, in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, I declare that every cycle of failure in my life—whether in finances, career, ministry, or relationships—is reversed today by the power of the Almighty God, in Jesus’ name.
4. Lord, just as You arranged a divine encounter for Peter through the use of his boat, arrange a divine encounter for me. Let me host Your presence in my life, my home, and my work, and let my failure be turned into overwhelming success, in Jesus’ name.
5. Father, like the man who was afflicted with insects coming out of his body, I bring every strange and incurable attack of the enemy before You. Let Your healing power flow, and let me be completely restored and transformed, in Jesus’ name.
6. Lord, I pray for everyone who has toiled for years without visible results—students, business owners, job seekers, ministers. Let this be their season of supernatural breakthrough and abundance, in Jesus’ name.
7. Father, remove every limitation that has caused my net to break under the weight of blessing. Increase my capacity to receive and manage the harvest You are bringing into my life, in Jesus’ name.
8. Lord, let every symbol of failure in my life—empty nets, wasted years, broken dreams—be replaced with testimonies that astonish me and those around me, in Jesus’ name.
9. Father, as You changed the appearance of the afflicted man in just two weeks, let my situation change dramatically and visibly in a short time. Let my testimony be undeniable, in Jesus’ name.
10. My personal prayer point: (Mention specific areas of repeated failure or fruitlessness in your life and ask God for a divine turnaround).
11. Thank You, Father, for the promise that failure is not my portion. I receive my reversal, and I will walk in cycles of blessings and miracles, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
