Open Heavens 2 February 2026 Monday – Dealing With Demonic Vexation

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

When the devil decides to torture his victims through vexation, he attacks them intermittently with problems that hurt and embarrass them. To achieve this, the devil assigns a demon or demons to operate in the victim’s life at regular intervals.
In today’s Bible reading, Jesus was coming down from the Mount of Transfiguration when a father brought his son to him. The father narrated how a demon came at intervals to cause his son to throw himself into the fire and into the water. The demon wasn’t always troubling the boy, but it would come from time to time to push him to harm himself. Some people are perfectly okay in one minute, and in the next minute, they suddenly find themselves in trouble. For example, people with epilepsy are attacked at intervals, and the seizures sometimes come when they are in public places, thus causing them a great deal of embarrassment.
In the 7Os, there was a lady in The Redeemed Christian Church of God who had a child who was suffering from the vexation of the enemy. The child had regular seizures, and whenever she rented a new apartment, her son would have one of such attacks. In those days, people believed that such attacks were contagious, and as such, the landlords of the apartments she rented would chase her out of their houses after such incidents. This sister had been moving from one house to the other until one day when, right in the center of the town she lived in, the child had an attack. What she had been trying to hide became a public thing, and everyone around her at that moment fled. When this happened, she grabbed the child, looked up to the Almighty God and prayed. She said, “Father, my secret is out, and I have no help. Please, arise on my behalf.” That was the last day the child had an epileptic attack.
The Lord will always arise for those who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:18 says, The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”
Beloved, have you been experiencing the vexation of the enemy? Has he been coming into your life at intervals to steal, kill, and destroy? Surrender your life to Jesus if you have not done so. Promise Him that you will live according to His will from now on and call upon Him to deliver you. He will surely rise in your defense.

Father, please put an end to every plan of the enemy to vex me or anyone in my family, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points For Open Heavens 2 February 2026 – DEALING WITH DEMONIC VEXATION
1. Father, I thank You for being nigh unto all who call upon You in truth; thank You for Your readiness to arise and defend the vexed, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, I ask for mercy for any sin or doorway in my life that has given the enemy a right to vex me with intermittent attacks of shame, harm, or destruction, in Jesus’ name.
3. I surrender my life afresh to Jesus Christ; I promise to live according to Your will, and I call upon You now: Lord, arise for my defense and deliver me from every cycle of demonic vexation, in Jesus’ name.
4. Father, as You rebuked the devil and cured the boy in Matthew 17, I command every vexing spirit assigned to attack me and my family at intervals to be rebuked and to depart now, in Jesus’ name.
5. I break every pattern of embarrassment, sudden trouble, and public shame orchestrated by the enemy; let my life henceforth be a testimony of Your constant peace and protection, in Jesus’ name.
6. Lord, intervene in every situation I have been trying to hide; let my point of greatest embarrassment become the platform for Your miraculous and permanent deliverance, just as it was for the sister in the story, in Jesus’ name.
7. Father, according to Your manifold mercies, give me and my household saviors—people, angels, and Your own hand—to save us out of the hand of our enemies, in Jesus’ name.
8. I reject every spirit of epilepsy, sudden seizures, self-harm, or any intermittent physical or emotional torment; my body and mind are the temple of the Holy Spirit and are sanctified by the blood of Jesus.
9. Holy Spirit, make me sensitive to recognize the intervals of attack; grant me the faith and authority to pray effectively and break the cycle before it manifests, in Jesus’ name.
10. My personal prayer point: (Mention any specific area of recurring, intermittent trouble, shame, or attack in your life or family that you want God to terminate permanently).
11. Thank You, Father, for You have heard my cry. I believe the vexation ends today, and I walk in continual victory, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
