It is my Due Season – Psalm 102:13-16

Beloved, we are grateful to God for another awesome time in His presence. Decree into your life and family, it is my due season. It is my appointed time of mercy, favour, grace, blessing, prosperity, breakthrough, and comprehensive victory.

Psalm 102:13 says, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come”. Father, arise and have mercy on me and let my set time come now in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The set time, the appointed time of mercy and favour has come. I pray for you, you will not miss your set time of favour and mercy in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Esau in Genesis 27, missed his set time of favour and mercy. We know the story of how his father called him and asked him to prepare him a special meal and that he would bless him. Esau missed out while Jacob took the blessings (Genesis 27:27-29).

Gehazi missed out on his set time of favour and mercy (2 Kings 5:20-27). Samson also missed out (Judges 16). Eli and his family missed out also (1 Samuel 3).

King David and his son, King Solomon did not miss their set time. You will not miss yours as well. Peter and his friends in Luke 5:1-11 grabbed the set time with both hands. Mercy will speak for you and your family in Jesus name. Amen.

God has promised us that this 11th month is our Due Season of Lifting and He has given us His word to back up this claim.

Isaiah 43:1-2, “But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Isaiah 43:16-19, “Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

So many people have missed their set time and missing your set time will set you back. What then can I do not to miss my set time? What can I do to attract my due season, my set time, and my appointed time?

  1. Keep believing. Activate your faith. Faith is key to receiving from God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. John 3:18 says, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”. John 10:38 says, “But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”
  2. Be expectant. Proverbs 23:18 says, “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off”. Philippians 1:20 says, “As it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honoured in my body, whether by life or by death”.
  3. Continue to honour God with your life, your substance. Proverbs 3:9-10 says, “Honour the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; So, your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine”. Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it”.
  4. Be organised. Luke 14:28-30 says, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 says, “But all things should be done decently and in order”. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry”.
  5. Be prayerful. Luke 18:1 says, “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart”. Luke 2:37 says, “and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”. Cornelius’ prayers in Acts 10:4, “And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God”.
  6. Give sacrificially. In 1 Chronicles 1:6, “And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it”. Solomon gave a sacrificial offering and God appeared unto him with a blank cheque. 1 Kings 3:4 says, “Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar”. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver”.
  7. Forgive in advance. Be ready to forgive even before someone steps on your toes (if you still have one). Especially people of your household or Church family. God has already made provision to forgive us our sins even before we come to Him for forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you”. Matthew 6:14 says, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”. Colossians 3:13 says, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you”. Matthew 18:21-22 says, “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times”.
  8. Speak the truth always. Sadly, politics has now become our (Church) order of service. Lies are presented in such a way that it becomes acceptable in the church. Ephesians 4:25 says, “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each of you speak the truth with his neighbour, for we are members one of another”. Proverbs 12:22 says, “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight”. In John 8:44, Jesus was addressing the teachers of the law and heard what He said to them, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and has nothing to do with the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.
