1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 9-12
MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 3 January 2026 Saturday Daily Devotional
Before the first dawn in Genesis 1:1, there was God. The Bible says that in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. This means that before the first day ever came, God had been around. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” God is the creator of the beginning, and He created the beginning with His word. He created this new year and everything that will happen in it with His word. Therefore, if you want to be in control of events in this new year, you must pay close attention to the word of God.
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:22-23
According to the Scripture above, if you have faith in God, you can command mountains to move, and they will move. The Bible also tells us in Romans 10:17 that faith comes by hearing the word of God. The amount of God’s word you allow into your heart this year will determine how powerful you will be against mountains. If you study God’s word daily, whenever you encounter a mountain, you will be so full of the word and faith that when you speak to that mountain, it will disappear.
Psalm 107:20 says: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
There are certain illnesses that no doctor on earth can treat. There are also certain surgeries that doctors have not yet discovered how to perform. Some surgeries are now carried out by laser light that penetrates parts of the body that scalpels cannot reach. This is why, when the Bible says that the entrance of God’s word gives light (Psalm 119:130), it means that when God sends His word, it cures the incurable and penetrates areas of a person’s life that seemed impossible to reach.
Beloved, embrace God’s word more than ever before this year. Study, meditate on, and confess it diligently every day. As you fill your heart with the word of God and make it your companion at all times this year, I decree that you will experience all-round victory, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points for Open Heavens 3 January 2026 Saturday – Embrace His Word
1. Father, I thank You for the gift of life and for the privilege of relationship with You; thank You for Your Word that was in the beginning and for the grace to walk in its light, in Jesus name.
2. Father, I ask for Your mercy in every area where I have neglected Your Word or made choices based on worldly logic rather than Your truth; forgive me for prioritizing the flesh over the spirit, in Jesus name.
3. Lord, deliver me from the spirit of doubt and unbelief; grace me to value Your holy words above any material gain or human opinion, knowing they are spirit and life, in Jesus name.
4. Father, whenever I am faced with mountains of difficulty or pressing needs, grant me the spiritual strength to speak Your Word with faith and refuse to doubt Your power, in Jesus name.
5. Oh Lord, give me the wisdom to study Your Word daily; help me to make the Bible my constant companion so I can make choices today that guarantee a glorious tomorrow, in Jesus name.
6. Father, cure me of spiritual shortsightedness; let Your Word, which is sharper than a two-edged sword, pierce into my soul and spirit to discern and align my heart with Your will, in Jesus name.
7. Lord, give me a selfless heart that shares Your Word with the hurting; teach me to use Your truth to seek the blessing of Your people and the expansion of Your Kingdom, in Jesus name.
8. Father, I receive the grace to meditate and confess Your Word diligently; I refuse to be a hearer only, but I receive the power for all-round victory through Your Word, in Jesus name.
9. Holy Spirit, empower me to overcome every temptation by the Word of God; keep me holy, disciplined, and full of faith as I hide Your Word in my heart, in Jesus name.
10. My personal prayer point: (Mention specific areas of your life, health, or circumstances where you need the “laser-like” power of God’s Word to penetrate and bring a miracle).
11. Thank You, Father, for I believe You have heard me, and by the power of Your Word, I will not fail or lose my reward in this new year, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
