MEMORISE: Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Psalms 42:7

READ: Acts 4:31-33 Open Heavens 20 August 2025

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 20 August 2025 Wednesday Daily Devotional

Today, I will conclude this series by discussing pressure. The pressure in tyres varies with the weights they are designed to support. For example, the pressure in the tyre of a bicycle differs from that of a car. Both tyres are filled with air, but more air is pumped into a car’s tyre than into a bicycle’s tyre. This is because the weight that the tyre of a car supports is more than what the tyre of a bicycle supports. The tyres of an aeroplane are just about the same size as those of a large truck; however, the pressure inside them is different. This is because an aeroplane is much heavier, and when it lands, its tyres must be able to withstand its weight. If the air pressure in an aeroplane’s tyre is lowered to that of a truck, the plane will crash as it lands.

How much you want to accomplish for God will determine how much of His anointing you will seek to be filled with. This is not about titles now, but about the real impact you want to have for God in the earth. The things a believer will accomplish for God are not dependent on church titles. Some bishops cannot deliver a small town from the devil’s hands, whereas some believers without any title can turn an entire country upside down for God. When it comes to accomplishing great and mighty things in God’s kingdom, what really matters is how much of the anointing a believer carries. God cannot perform mighty miracles or deliver communities and countries from powerful dark forces through believers who only carry low levels of the anointing.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12

If you want to perform greater works as Jesus said, then you must be filled with the anointing to a very great degree. How much you want to accomplish in God’s kingdom should determine how much of the anointing you seek to be filled with.

Beloved, seek to be full of the anointing so that you can cause mighty revivals in your fields of operation, community, nation, and all around the world, just like Jesus, who went about doing good with the anointing.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38

I pray that God will fill you with more of His anointing so you can influence the world with the gospel and take many territories for His kingdom. in Jesus’ name

Open Heavens 20 August 2025 Wednesday Commentary

Hallelujah.

Our topic for today once more says you can be filled with more part three. In a previous series, we studied the importance of being filled with the anointing and how we can be filled with the anointing. When we began this series also, we started with the topic you can be filled with more part one. And in that study, our father and the Lord explained to us that it is possible for believers to go deeper in God. We were also told that there is more in God for those who remain spiritually hungry. And yesterday when we studied the second part of the topic, you can be filled with more. Our father and the Lord also told us that the fact that a believer’s spiritual battery is very full today does not mean that it cannot still be fuller. We were told that there’s no limit to how full your spiritual battery can be. We were made to understand from that study that one of the major reasons why many ministers of God rise, and fall is that as soon as they get to a certain height, they stop being filled. They stop studying their Bibles like before and they even reduce their prayer times because they now have busy schedules.

We were made to understand from that study that it takes hard work to be a champion. But it takes even more hard work to remain a champion. Hallelujah. Today we have before us the third part of the topic, you can be filled with more. And we learned from today’s study that the measure of the anointing we carry determines the measure of exploits we can perform for God. We learned that the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, but not all believers manifest him in the same dimension. Some may release a trickle, others may release a stream, and yet others release mighty rivers. So, the question to us today that we must answer is how much of God do you truly want? Consider a water dam. Most times the larger the reservoir, the more water it can store. And without doubt, the more water it stores, the more electricity it can generate when released through turbines. So, we can see that a little stream can only light up a few homes, but a mighty dam can power entire cities and even great industries.

Beloved, the same principle applies spiritually. Some Christians carry just enough oil to bless only their household. Others may carry just enough to transform their community. Yet there are those whose anointing is so weighty that nations are transformed through them. The difference lies in capacity. It lies in the level of the hunger that pushes and foils the level of assignment you desire to fulfill in God. One thing is obvious from today’s study, the fact that we can also determine the extent of assignment we want to fulfill. So, if you are content with just handling issues in your home, your family, if you are okay and content with maybe just praying for headaches, then there’s a corresponding level of hunger for that anointing. If yours is your community, then there’s also another corresponding level of hunger for that anointing. If yours is for the nations, the ends of the earth, then there is also a corresponding level of hunger for that anointing. So, we must expand and enlarge our capacities. The greater your measure of anointing, the wider your reach for the kingdom. Elisha was not content with having the level of his master’s anointing. He wanted more and he got it. The apostles also, they were always in God’s presence, intimate with him, recharging their spiritual batteries. No wonder they were refueled again with the Holy Spirit. Like we see in our text for today, our God never neglects the spiritually hungry. Even our Lord Jesus Christ himself declared, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness.” He says, “For they shall be filled.”

The filling of the spirit is not random. It is given to those who are hungry. As long as there are empty vessels, God will pour oil. But once the hunger ceizes, the flow would stop. So, what level of influence for God do you seek? Do you intend to shake systems and establish God’s kingdom in territories? Then you must carry a higher degree of the spirit than those whose assignments are local. Small capacity cannot sustain global assignments.

Dear brothers and sisters, refuse to be satisfied with shallow waters. Press until you are immersed. Press until you are fully covered. Press until you are taken over. Hunger and thirst for the anointing until your life overflows. Seek God until you become a carrier of God’s fullness. One other very important lesson which we learned from today’s study is the fact that in God’s kingdom titles do not necessarily influence how much impact God can use a believer to achieve. You may be a brother or a sister listening to me. You may have no spiritual title attached to you. You may just be a hungry fellow who truly desires that God would use you. So, you are asking will God truly use me? I have an answer for you today and the answer is a resounding yes. This is also to remind us that as much as titles may be good, we must never let them impact our hunger level negatively. If they must impact our hunger levels, then it should be to increase them. Remember also to seek God and to press in for more of him and not just for titles. Hallelujah.

It is my prayer that as we hunger for God and we enlarge our capacities; he would fill us to overflow in Jesus’ name. I would like us at this point to bow our heads and tell the Lord today would say, “Father, please enlarge my spiritual capacity. Expand my spiritual reservoir and fill me with great dimensions of your spirit in the name of Jesus.” Ask the Lord today to say, “Father, increase my capacity for more.” Let me hunger and thirst for you like I have never done so before in the name of Jesus. Ask the Lord today. Say, “Father, keep me hungry. Keep me in your presence. Keep me never satisfied with little oil in the name of Jesus.” Ask the Lord today, say, “Father, keep me hungry for more and more and more and more.” Why not also tell the Lord today say Lord please empower me for the full weight of my divine assignment in Jesus name. Let me carry enough pressure let me carry enough capacity for the fullness of the assignment you have given to me in the name of Jesus. Grant unto me Lord the capacity that is required for the assignments you have placed in my hands.

Tell the Holy Spirit say holy spirit of God let my life overflow with your power in the name of Jesus. Let my life overflow with your power. So, I can influence nations for Christ. So, I can take kingdoms for the Lord in the name of Jesus. So that everywhere I go like our Lord Jesus, I will do good in the name of Jesus. Tell the Lord today say, “Father, raise me as a vessel of revival, as a vessel of healing. Use me as a vessel of deliverance in my generation in the name of Jesus. Let my voice be the voice of hope. Let my voice bring revival. Let it bring fresh hunger for God across territories in the name of Jesus. Begin to give the Lord thanks. Bless his name and appreciate him for answers to prayers. Father, we worship you. Blessed redeemer, we give you all the glory. Take all adoration in Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen.

Open Heavens 20 August 2025 Wednesday Hymn

HYMN 20: Stand Up! Stand Up for Jesus

1 Stand up! stand up for Jesus!

Ye soldiers of the cross;

Lift high His royal banner,

It must not suffer loss:

From vict’ry unto vict’ry

His army shall He lead,

Till every foe is vanquished

And Christ is Lord indeed.

2 Stand up! stand up for Jesus!

The trumpet call obey;

Forth to the mighty conflict

In this His glorious day.

Ye that are men, now serve Him

Against unnumbered foes;

Let courage rise with danger.

And strength to strength oppose.

3 Stand up! stand up for Jesus!

Stand in His strength alone;

The arm of flesh will fail you;

Ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the Gospel armor,

And, watching unto prayer,

Where duty calls, or danger,

Be never wanting there.

4 Stand up! stand up for Jesus!

The strife will not be long:

This day the noise of battle,

The next the victor’s song;

To him that overcometh

A crown of life shall be;

He, with the King of glory,

Shall reign eternally.
